A missing 9-year-old boy has been found safe after he got lost for two days in the woods in Tennessee without a jacket or shoes, authorities said.
Jordan Gorman has been missing since Sunday from his home in Ashland City, which is around 23 miles from Nashville, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
When he left home, the boy was barefoot and only wearing a short-sleeve shirt with jeans, authorities said.
Though temperatures dipped as low as 37 degrees, he weathered the cold under a tarp he found and attached to a tree, authorities said.
Rescue teams searched the heavily-wooded area until they ultimately discovered his makeshift shelter Tuesday afternoon near a creek bed about three-quarters of a mile away from his home.
