Michigan crowd's chant prompts Trump to tell them to stop because he may 'start to cry'

Supporters of President Trump gathered at a Michigan rally started a chant of “We love you,” prompting a warning from the president that he might cry if they don’t stop.

“Don’t say that. I’ll start to cry,” Trump said after the Michigan crowd began chanting, “We love you.” “That wouldn’t be good for my image. You don’t want to see me cry.”

The airport manager at the hangar where Trump addressed the crowd said 5,000 people were expected to attend, but preliminary estimates guess that roughly 10,000 people were in attendance.

“We were really overflowing. Our old parking lot which had 1,400 spaces was rapidly filled. We were then parking people in the grass — which then also filled up, and people were parking along the roadside,” airport manager James Cander said. “I eventually had to tell people to start parking at the new terminal parking lot, which was a mile away.”
