Mel Gibson is officially set to start filming The Resurrection of the Christ this August at Rome’s Cinecittà Studios.
It’s the long-awaited sequel to The Passion of the Christ, which raked in over $600 million back in 2004.
I still remember seeing it in theaters. Powerful! And brutal.
Two decades later, the sequel is finally rising as production takes place in ancient towns across Southern Italy.
