Massie calls out FBI silence on reported Capitol Police involvement in planting Jan. 6 pipe bomb

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is questioning the Trump administration’s silence on allegations that the U.S. Capitol Police planted the pipe bombs discovered near the Capitol as the events of Jan. 6, 2021, unfolded.

Massie weighed in on the report Monday, claiming the FBI, CIA, and Capitol Police “are implicated in this story.” He continued to denounce leading figures in the Trump administration, including FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi, as well as CIA Director John Ratcliffe, for their approach to the report, saying, “It’s been out three days and still no response.”

Questions have long been raised about the identity of the person seen in surveillance footage planting the two bombs near the headquarters of the Republican National Committee and Democratic National Committee
