Vili Fualaau — the student who went on to marry his teacher, Mary Kay Letourneau, after she raped him — was busted for allegedly driving under the influence after almost hitting a police car in Seattle, according to a report.
The 38-year-old was driving erratically on a highway about 4 a.m. Saturday when he made an abrupt lane change and nearly struck the vehicle, TMZ reported.
Fualaau, whose eyes were bloodshot and watery, performed poorly in a field sobriety test and was arrested after he submitted to a voluntary breath test, according to the outlet. The result of the test was not released.
He was booked on a DUI charge and taken to the Snohomish County Jail, TMZ reported.
In March 2018, Letourneau and Fualaau, her student-turned-husband, made headlines when she tried to help him get out of a DUI after he was involved in a three-car crash in Washington state.
