Majority of vaccinated Americans willing to get COVID-19 booster shot: poll


The majority of vaccinated Americans are willing to get a COVID-19 booster shot, a new poll says.

Of the people who have received a COVID-19 vaccine, 77 percent have no problem with recommendations for getting a booster shot, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.

About 64 percent of Americans say they are still concerned about the threat of COVID-19 and 37 percent are “very concerned,” the poll found.

Eleven percent of those polled say they aren’t concerned about COVID-19 anymore.

The poll surveyed 1,000 adults in the United States online and via phone between Aug. 30-31.

The FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have so far only given the green light for booster shots for immunocompromised people who received either Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
