London’s Metropolitan police have dropped their part of an investigation into bombshell sex abuse claims against Prince Andrew, according to reports.
The agency is taking “no further action” after completing two reviews that kicked off after Virginia Giuffre claimed in a lawsuit that the Duke of York sexually abused her on three separate occasions when she was 17 years old, including in London.
The police department said it will continue to “liaise with other law enforcement agencies who lead the investigation” into Andrew, The Mirror reported.
Met officers had reviewed material in connection to claims that the prince and his late-pal Jeffrey Epstein groomed or abused young women in the UK, the outlet said.
