Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw was heralded for writing a Bible passage on his baseball hat, which he wore during the team’s Pride Night.
Kershaw’s hat, bearing rainbow colors associated with the LGBT flag, had the phrase “Gen. 9:12-16” written on it, referring to the Biblical passage in which God created the rainbow as a symbolic reminder that he would never flood the earth again. The Dodgers faced off against the San Francisco Giants on Friday night. Since the game, Kershaw’s hat has drawn significant attention online.
