Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) has his sights set on helping Republicans win in the Peach State, calling past squabbles from former President Donald Trump aimed at him a “small distraction.”
Trump has had a testy relationship with Kemp since the former president lost Georgia in the 2020 election, and the governor refused to help him overturn the result. The feud has largely been one-sided as Trump has switched between throwing attacks and playing nice with Kemp.
Trump recently made nice with Kemp again, posting on social media that he is thankful for “all of your help and support in Georgia” and said he was looking forward to working with Kemp. The change of tune came weeks after Trump had called the governor “little Brian Kemp”
