Former Vice President Kamala Harris’s incompetence isn’t going away any time soon. Nor, likely, is the disastrous governance of California Democrats. In fact, California is likely to be on the receiving end of both in a few years.
The most likely outcome for Harris since her presidential loss in November has been a return to politics by way of California’s gubernatorial race. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) is term-limited, and the options to replace him thus far lack name recognition among California voters, with the only exception being Antonio Villaraigosa, the former Los Angeles mayor and 2018 Democratic runner-up for governor. If Harris jumps in, she will no doubt become the front-runner.
