A federal judge rejected Gov. Gavin Newsom’s effort to immediately block the Trump administration from using the National Guard and Marines to quell the Los Angeles riots.

Newsom filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, alleging it violated California’s sovereignty by federalizing National Guard troops.
