Iran reportedly used drone to take close-up images of US aircraft carrier in Persian Gulf

Iran flew a drone over a US aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf, capturing detailed footage of fighter jets aligned on the deck, crewmen on board and other military equipment, according to a report.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp, which said its drone filmed the warship as it sailed through the Strait of Hormuz, released the footage on Wednesday, the Express reported.

At one point the drone hovered over the carrier as a US Navy helicopter prepared to take off or land.
