The Republican primary battle for Illinois’s 15th Congressional District is heating up, with five-term Rep. Rodney Davis facing off against freshman Rep. Mary Miller for the GOP nomination.
With the primary date set for June 28, both candidates are touting their conservative credentials and hitting the campaign trail in an attempt to sway voters.
Miller is challenging her GOP colleague in the newly drawn southern Illinois district, which became more red under the new map after the state lost a seat. Donald Trump endorsed Miller despite Republican leaders urging the former president to stay out of the race with Davis, the top Republican on the House Administration Committee.
