Illinois state lawmakers passed a new bill that will allow them to end their life early with the help of a doctor.
SB 1950 will now head to Democrat Governor JB Pritzker’s desk where he will have to make a decision whether to sign the bill into a law.
The Chicago Catholic provided the following details on the new bill:

In the early hours of Oct. 31, the Illinois state legislature passed SB 1950, known as the “End-of-Life Options for Terminally Ill Patients Act,” which could make it legal for residents to end their life with the aid of a physician. The bill is headed to Gov. JB Pritzker for approval.
