The fledgling radio corporation IHeartMedia recently announced they were instituting a diversity-only hiring policy, meaning they intended to exclude white people from positions before backtracking on their position after public outrage.
“Diversity is incredibly important to our team and our company so we are looking at only diverse hires at this time,” said Molly Socha, who works as executive producer of custom podcasts at IHeartMedia, while describing the podcast editor/engineer position to members of a New York City radio listserv group.
