On this episode of The Federalist Radio Hour, J.C. Bradbury, a professor of economics at Kennesaw State University, joins Culture Editor Emily Jashinsky to break down how Hollywood is using Georgia’s secretive film tax credit for its own gain.
“We can’t see exactly who is benefiting from this … I do think that there may be some high-up players who are actually directly involved in film tax credits and they may be personally benefiting from them,” Bradbury said. “You do have to wonder what’s driving it, in particular when the program itself is not open to sunshine. We’re giving out film tax credits but we don’t know who’s buying or selling.”
Hollywood is a political business that can use Georgian money back to fund leftist endeavors, Bradbury warned.
