House Passes SAVE Act To Require Proof Of United States Citizenship To Vote In Federal Elections


The House of Representatives passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act to require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in federal elections.

The bill passed 221-198 and heads to the Senate.

Only five Democrats voted for the legislation.

“Today, 198 House Democrats voted against preventing illegal aliens from voting in American elections.
