A female lifeguard was impaled by an umbrella at a New Jersey beach.
Officials said the umbrella was impaled so deeply that it had to be cut into smaller pieces before transporting her to a hospital.
The horrifying incident happened at Asbury Park’s 3rd Avenue Beach.
“The umbrella went underneath her left shoulder and out the back,” Asbury Park Fire Chief Kevin Keddy told the New York Post.
