War Secretary Pete Hegseth fired Navy chief of staff Jon Harrison on Friday night, in what is the latest instance of a reshuffling at the Pentagon.
The Pentagon confirmed Harrison’s departure from the high-ranking role in a brief statement to Politico thanking him for his service, which lasted just 10 months.
“He [Harrison] will no longer serve as Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the Navy. We are grateful for his service to the Department,” the statement said.

Before his time as chief of staff, Harrison worked in the defense industry, specifically for Albers Aerospace.
