Grisham Book: China Used Visits with Trump to Gather Intelligence on White House Staff

China seemingly used its first official visit with former President Trump as a scheme to spy on United States government officials and White House staff, a book by former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham suggests.

The book, titled I’ll Take Your Questions Now, shares a glimpse into how China’s government officials use visits to the U.S. with presidents as spy operations to gather intelligence on not only top White House officials but also the lower-level staff.

In April 2017, Grisham writes, Trump hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping at his hotel resort property Mar-a-Lago in West Palm Beach.
