GOP Takes Back Another Seat in the House, as Burgess Owens Wins in Utah


While Democrats are desperately clinging to their hopes of stealing the White House, they are mounting losses everywhere else, including the House of Representatives.

Former NFL star Burgess Owens just defeated Democratic incumbent Ben McAdams in Utah.

This gives Republicans complete control of all four congressional seats in Utah.

McAdams conceded Monday afternoon in an online news conference.

This is yet another huge victory for Republicans.

Former New York Jet Burgess Owens — a vocal critic of on-the-field protests during the national anthem — won his congressional bid in Utah on Monday.

Republican Owens, 69, a safety who was Gang Green’s first-round pick in 1973, beat out Democratic incumbent Ben McAdams by less than 1 percent
