Even legacy media sources are painting a bleak picture for Democrats heading into 2022 as Republicans scored a historic 10-point advantage among registered voters in the generic Congressional ballot, according to a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll released on Sunday.
The 10-point advantage is the largest GOP polling margin since November 1981 – during the first year of the Reagan administration. The margin is much larger than 1994 and 2010 midterm polling which were elections in which Republicans gained 54 and 63 House seats, respectively.
