Georgia Sheriff’s Office Warns of Bitcoin ATM Scams

The Whitefield County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia is warning residents of an ongoing crypto scam at a Bitcoin ATM.

The WCSO has warned that local Bitcoin ATMs are hotspots for scams and fraudulent transactions.

Investigators at the WSCO reported scammers will call a victim and give the victim instructions to make a transaction to the scammer’s wallet.

Tracking down the scammers is nearly impossible due to the scammer’s wallet being anonymous.
