After several days of slight increases, gas prices fell on Thursday, as the national average for a gallon of regular gas dropped to $3.131, according to AAA. On Wednesday, a gallon of regular gas cost $3.135.

Gas prices on Thursday were less expensive than a week ago, when the national average for regular gas was $3.15 per gallon. Prices today are also less expensive than a month ago, when drivers paid $3.216 for a gallon of regular gas.
