Gas Prices: Costs remain steady to begin the week 


Gas prices remained steady and did not change on Monday. According to AAA, the price for a gallon of regular gas remained the same as it was on Sunday, at $3.506.

Monday’s (and Sunday’s) price was slightly higher than what it cost a week ago for regular gas, when the price was $3.491 per gallon. A month ago, regular gas was $3.456 per gallon. A year ago at this time, regular-grade gasoline was $3.538 per gallon. 

California had the country’s most expensive gas on Monday, with a gallon of regular gas costing $4.791. This was a slight increase from Sunday’s price of $4.788 per gallon. Mississippi, on the other hand, was the state with the cheapest gas prices on Monday, with a gallon of regular
