The funeral for Eric Talley — the hero police officer killed in the Boulder supermarket massacre — is underway in Colorado.
The Tuesday service at the Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette is open to the public and will honor the life of the 51-year-old father of seven. It is also being livestreamed.
On Monday, the 11-year veteran was remembered at a funeral mass for his dedication to law enforcement — his casket draped in American flag and saluted by his fellow brothers in blue.
“For too often, you are taken for granted and yet in situations like this, you are the ones who protect human life,” Archbishop Samuel Aquila said at the service at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver.
