Former Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus brushed off concerns on President Donald Trump’s approval ratings just ahead of his 100th day back in the White House, contending that the president is “doing exactly what he said he was going to do.”
Ahead of Trump’s 100th day in office on Tuesday, the president’s approval rating has dropped below 40% — the lowest for any president at the 100-day mark of their first or second terms in office in roughly 80 years. However, Priebus contended that Trump is still in the “restructuring” phase of his presidency, in which the president is working on incorporating everything he promised to voters.
