Forget the 51st state – some say New England should be 11th Canadian province


Not only are some people rejecting President Trump’s idea to make the Great White North the 51st state — they think Canada should annex New England as the 11th Canadian province. 

Backers say the mostly left-leaning states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island would fit right in.

The idea has been picking up steam both north and south of the 49th parallel.
