Fetterman to vote against Bernie Sanders’s No War Against Iran Act: ‘Always’ support Israel


Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) revealed that he intends to vote against legislation to rein in U.S. involvement in Israel’s combat with Iran, shrugging off the possibility of being “an outlier” among Democratic lawmakers.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) introduced the No War Against Iran Act to prohibit using federal funds on military use in or against Iran without specific authorization from Congress, warning that U.S. lawmakers must be clear that the United States cannot get “dragged into [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu’s war of choice.” When asked about the legislation, Fetterman said he would “always” support Israel, claiming that “taking out Iran” is necessary to achieve “real peace in the Middle East.”
