The retired Air Force lieutenant colonel busted in military gear while carrying zip-tie handcuffs during the deadly Capitol riots was turned in by his ex-wife, according to a federal affidavit.
Larry Rendell Brock’s ex-wife of 18 years called the FBI National Threat Operations Center (NTOC) on Friday to say she recognized the 53-year-old Texas veteran from photos of rioters on the Senate floor Wednesday.
“I just know that when I saw this was happening I was afraid he would be there,” the ex, who was not identified, told agents, according to an arrest affidavit.
“I think you already know he was there. It is such a good picture of him and I recognize his patch,” she said, according to the documents.
A second witness with extensive knowledge of his military background also contacted the FBI, emailing a photo from the riots to point out the father-of-three among the throng of rioters.
Despite being retired, Brock still had close contacts
