Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) said that Judge James Boasberg “inserted himself” into the case about deportations carried out by the Trump administration, adding that “further investigation” is required.
Schmitt described how the legal challenges that President Donald Trump and his administration are facing from “liberal activist judges” are unprecedented, saying the judges are playing an “outsized” role in deciding the nation’s politics.
One of the judges that the administration is feuding with is Boasberg. Schmitt said it was revealed over the weekend that Boasberg is “not the emergency judge” in Washington, D.C.
