Engine Issue Prompts American Airlines Flight To Make Emergency Landing


An American Airlines flight bound for Charlotte, North Carolina, made an emergency landing due to engine issues.

Flames and smoke came from one of the aircraft’s engines shortly after takeoff from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas Wednesday morning.

“Flight 1665 left Reid at 7:57 a.m. with 153 passengers and six crew members and landed safely at the airport at 8:23 a.m.,” Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
