Drew Barrymore ‘Deeply’ Apologizes For Offending People By ‘Making Light’ Of Depp-Heard Trial


Actress Drew Barrymore said she wanted to “deeply apologize” for offending people by “making light” of the testimony during Johnny Depp’s defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The 47-year-old actress reacted to criticism in a video she shared Sunday on Instagram after Depp fans called out the host of “The Drew Barrymore Show.” Barrymore’s critics accused the star of “making light” of domestic violence after discussing the trial on her show Friday and laughed about some of the testimony, reported People magazine.

“It has come to my attention that I have offended people with making light of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard,” Barrymore shared. “And for that, I just want to deeply apologize and appreciate everyone who spoke out because this can be a teachable moment
