DHS will immediately begin increasing security at all ICE facilities: McLaughlin


The Department of Homeland Security is racing to expand security at all U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities nationwide following recent attacks against personnel, including a mass shooting on Wednesday.

A DHS spokeswoman said the federal department will not tolerate targeted violence against its law enforcement personnel and has begun to put a plan into place to beef up security at and around ICE field offices and detention sites from coast to coast.

“In light of the horrific shooting that was motivated by hatred for ICE and the other unprecedented acts of violence against ICE law enforcement, including bomb threats, cars being used a weapons, rocks and Molotov cocktails thrown at officers, and doxing online of officers’ families, DHS will immediately begin increasing security at ICE facilities across the country,” DHS Assistant
