DEVELOPING: ‘Fast-Moving’ Wildfires Prompt Evacuations, Massive Emergency Response


Multiple wildfires in Long Island, New York, prompted a large emergency response and forced residents to evacuate.

The blaze erupted along Sunrise Highway from the Hamptons to East Moriches.

“South Shore fire departments — from Brookhaven to Hampton Bays — are responding to the blazes,” Greater Long Island reports.
