Democratic Senate challenger says he raised $1M after incumbent GOP member mocked Kamala Harris's name


A Democratic Georgia Senate candidate said he raised $1 million in less than 24 hours since his opponent, GOP Sen. David Perdue, mocked Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Jon Ossoff, who lost the high-profile 2017 special election for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District after it was vacated by former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, announced on Saturday that “we’ve raised $1M (!) since my opponent disgraced himself with bigoted mockery of Kamala’s name at yesterday’s Trump rally” and asked supporters if they could double that amount by midnight.

My opponent, GOP Sen. David Perdue of anti-Semitic attack ad infamy, just mocked Sen. Harris’ name as “Kamala-mala-mala-whatever” at a Trump rally.
