Many critics blamed Democrats—specifically President Joe Biden and far-left activist Stacy Abrams—for Major League Baseball’s decision to dump Atlanta as the host city for this year’s All Star Game and Draft, which will hurt the state’s economy.
Abrams claimed that she was “disappointed” in MLB’s decision to pullout of Atlanta before she praised them, saying she was “proud of their stance” on political issues.
“GA GOP traded economic opportunity for suppression,” Abrams falsely claimed. The Washington Post reported in a fact check this week that experts consulted by the newspaper said that the “net effect was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them.”

In an interview the day before MLB made their decision, Biden said that he would “strongly support” the league boycotting the city over the law that was passed by democratically-elected officials.
