Cory Mills under House Ethics Committee investigation for alleged financial violations


The House Ethics Committee will investigate Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) after a report from the Office of Congressional Conduct found that alleged weapons contracts held by the Republican with the federal government could violate rules.

The committee is picking up reviewing Mills after the longest delay in history to fill out the panel following a controversial end to the 118th Congress in which the secretive body voted to release former Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz‘s ethics report despite him no longer being in office.

“The Board recommends that the Committee further review the above allegation concerning Rep. Mills because there is substantial reason to believe that Rep. Mills may have entered into, enjoyed, or held contracts with federal agencies,” the OCC wrote in its report
