Two bloggers in China, linked to the communist country’s government, have suggested increasing the flow of fentanyl into the U.S. as retaliation for President Trump’s tariffs, according to CNBC’s Eunice Yoon, the Daily Caller reports. Posts by bloggers Niu Tanquin and the other known as Rabbit Chairman on Chinese social media indicated that China might cease cooperation with the U.S. on controlling fentanyl. Screenshots shared by Yoon on X highlighted that one blogger is affiliated with state-controlled XH News.
The bloggers outlined six potential countermeasures to Trump’s tariffs, including banning U.S. soybean and poultry imports, restricting American films, and halting fentanyl cooperation. Rabbit Chairman criticized the Trump administration for ignoring China’s efforts on fentanyl control and accused it of making “groundless accusations.”
