Championship-Winning College Basketball Coach Hospitalized


Kansas Jayhawks men’s basketball coach Bill Self was hospitalized on Monday and did not travel with the team for its game Tuesday night against Colorado.

Self, who has won two national championships with the Jayhawks, was hospitalized as a precautionary measure.

He received IV fluids after feeling “under the weather,” ESPN noted.

The school’s statement Monday night said Self was feeling better. It was not immediately clear if he would attempt to travel for the game or if an assistant would run the bench for the 19th-ranked Jayhawks.
