Numerous high-profile celebrities, from Beyoncé to Rihanna, to Kim Kardashian, have become avid defenders of convicted rapist and murderer Rodney Reed — but the sister of Stacey Stites, Reed’s victim, is completely unmoved by supposedly new compelling evidence of Reed’s innocence.
In 2019, Reed was granted an indefinite stay of execution. The convict’s evidentiary hearing began on Monday, and Stites’ sister Debra Oliver listened to all the new testimony.
“I haven’t found any of them to be credible,” Oliver told KVUE News (video below). “The fact that many of these people waited for more than 20 years before they decided to come forward – the mind is a funny thing, sometimes seeds are planted.”
“It’s very hard,” Oliver said of the wait for justice for her sister. “We definitely lose a lot of sleep over this.”
Oliver added that she believes in the innocence of Jimmy Fennell, who was her sister’s fiancé at the time of the rape and murder.
“I don’t have any problem with Jimmy
