A Wisconsin judge, Hannah Dugan, has pleaded not guilty to federal charges accusing her of helping an illegal immigrant evade arrest by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, the New York Post reports. The charges include obstruction of justice and concealing a person to prevent their discovery and arrest. Prosecutors allege that on April 18, Dugan escorted Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, who was facing domestic battery accusations, and his attorney out of her courtroom through a non-public jury exit to avoid ICE agents waiting to detain him.
A surveillance video of the incident has been released showing Dugan in her black robes speaking to federal agents who were reportedly there to arrest Flores-Ruiz.
