Casey Anthony is alleging that her father may have been directly responsible for the death of her daughter — and that he orchestrated efforts to make her look guilty — in a new controversial docuseries from Peacock.
Anthony, 36, became a household name when her two-year-old daughter Caylee disappeared in 2008. When the toddler’s body was found in the woods some six months later, Anthony was charged with her murder. During the trial, after which Anthony was found not guilty, her defense attorneys claimed that Caylee had drowned in the family pool — but she’s now saying that may not be the case.
“I lied,” she said of her initial claims. “But no one asked why.”
