A captain of a boat in New York City was arrested after his boat exploded near City Island in the Bronx.

The boat’s captain was allegedly under the influence at the time.

The boat initially caught fire, and 22 passengers jumped into the Bronx waters to swim for safety before the boat exploded.

On Saturday night, FDNY Marine Units responded to reports of a boat fire near City Island in the Bronx. There were 22 people on the boat.
