California Democrats simply cannot take a hint, which is why the U.S. Department of Education has found California’s Department of Education and California Interscholastic Federation to be in violation of Title IX.
According to the Education Department, California has “actively” prevented the “equality of opportunity” for women and girls that is guaranteed by Title IX by “allowing males in girls’ sports and intimate spaces.” This stems from California’s Education Department and CIF continuing to allow male athletes in girls’ sports and locker rooms.
California knows it is in the wrong here. That is why CIF changed its policies for track championships, granting female athletes defeated by male athletes competing in their female competitions the same podium position and medal they would have received had the male athletes not competed.
