According to a report released by the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, the illegal biolab discovered in California was operated by a Chinese national with ties to the CCP.
Congressional investigators allege the man, who reportedly also owned a Canadian passport, ran an illegal laboratory that contained approximately 20 infectious pathogens.
The infectious agents at the laboratory reportedly included COVID-19, HIV, hepatitis, and herpes.
Authorities arrested Jia Bei Zhu, 62, in October for “distributing misbranded medical devices and lying to the FDA,” Zero Hedge noted.

According to the outlet, Zhu reportedly was a key figure in China’s “military-civil fusion organizations.”
