A clumsy crook got stuck in a crevice under the roof of a pub in Australia while breaking in — forcing cops to rescue and arrest him, bizarre video footage shows.
The brainless burglar, a 30-year-old from Ipswich, tried to punch his way through the ceiling of Landsborough Pub on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast after getting trapped Wednesday during a heist gone awry, according to ABC Australia.
But the unnamed suspect — who was allegedly on drugs and covered in dirt — was ultimately stuck in the ceiling for four hours before a worker heard him calling for help at around 6 a.m., cops told the outlet.
“It’s the middle of summer, so he was sweating profusely, dehydrated and in a very distressed state,” Queensland Police Detective Sergeant Chris Eaton said. “He also bizarrely climbed around the hotel under containers, through some of the smallest crawl spaces you can image.”
