President Donald Trump’s youngest son received a tip-of-the-hat from the British courts for his role in reporting a domestic abuse case last year.
Judge Joel Bennathan sentenced Matvei Rumiantsev, a 23-year-old Russian national, to two years in prison after being found guilty of assault for abusing his on-and-off girlfriend.
During the Friday sentencing at Snaresbrook Crown Court, the judge noted that Barron Trump was on a phone call with the abused woman when the assault began. The president’s son immediately called the British authorities to report the attack.

“At one stage in the violence, there was a call to or from her friend, Barron Trump,” Bennathan told Rumiantsev.
