BREAKING: VP Vance Breaks Tie to Advance $9B DOGE Cuts Package — Three Republicans Vote ‘No’


This just in: the Senate has just advanced a whopping $9 billion DOGE cuts package.

It passed very narrowly — 51-50 — with Vice President JD Vance breaking the tie.

This particular bill is a rescissions package, which means it only needs a majority vote to pass as opposed to the typical 60 votes.

The package majorly cuts funding to NPR and PBS by around $8 billion. The other $1 billion would be cut from USAID foreign aid.
