An explosion has occurred in a New York City high-rise just a short time ago, with emergency crews responding.
The residential building suffered some sort of catastrophic explosion this morning.
While a gas explosion is being considered, there is no confirmation yet on exactly what caused the explosion.

No injuries have been reported at the time of this report, but emergency crews are still responding with reports of bomb sniffing dogs on scene, and visible in some of the footage.

The explosion resulted in a large portion of the 20-story building collapsed in piles of rubble on the street below.
Footage from the ground and air have started circulating on social media, revealing the gaping hole in the side of the building.
